POPIA privacy notice
Privacy policy.
How Laundivo collects, uses, shares, protects and retains personal information.
Last updated: 4 November 2026
1. Responsible party and scope
Laundivo is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website, order enquiries and customer communications. The business is based in Pretoria, South Africa. Privacy enquiries may be sent to hello@laundivo.co.za. The legal operator and Information Officer details will be published before payment-enabled trading begins.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use the website, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, delivery and billing address, order selections, delivery notes, correspondence, form consent records, transaction references, payment status, device and security logs, and cookie preferences. Laundivo does not intend to receive or store full payment-card details; payment details are handled by the selected payment provider when payment is enabled.
3. How information is collected
Information is collected directly when you complete a contact, newsletter, order or checkout form; when you correspond with Laundivo; automatically through strictly necessary storage and security logs; and from service providers where required to complete payment, delivery, fraud prevention or customer support.
4. Purposes and legal grounds
We process personal information to respond to enquiries; provide quotations and order confirmations; conclude and perform sales; arrange delivery and returns; keep tax, accounting and transaction records; prevent abuse and fraud; protect the website; comply with legal duties; improve the service using appropriately configured analytics; and send direct marketing only where permitted. Processing is based on consent, steps taken at your request, performance of a contract, legal obligations and legitimate interests that do not unjustifiably override your rights.
5. Required and optional information
Fields marked as required are needed to answer the enquiry or process the requested transaction. If required information is not provided, Laundivo may be unable to respond, confirm an order or arrange delivery. Newsletter subscription and optional analytics consent are voluntary and may be withdrawn.
6. Service providers and recipients
Information may be shared only as reasonably necessary with website hosting and form providers such as Netlify; payment providers such as PayFast when activated; fulfilment and courier providers such as BobGo and its delivery partners when activated; transactional email providers; accounting, legal, technical and fraud-prevention advisers; and public authorities where disclosure is legally required. Service providers may act as operators and must process information for authorised purposes.
7. Cross-border processing
Some technology providers may process or store information outside South Africa. Laundivo will use providers and safeguards intended to meet POPIA requirements for transborder information flows, including contractual and security measures where appropriate.
8. Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably needed for the stated purpose, contractual and customer-service needs, fraud prevention, dispute handling, and applicable tax, accounting and legal retention periods. Unneeded records are deleted, destroyed or de-identified using reasonable measures.
9. Security
Reasonable technical and organisational safeguards are used to protect personal information, including access controls, transport encryption provided by the hosting platform, secret environment variables for payment credentials, limited data collection and service-provider controls. No internet system is risk-free. If a security compromise creates a legal notification duty, Laundivo will notify the Information Regulator and affected people as required.
10. Your rights
Subject to POPIA and other applicable law, you may ask whether Laundivo holds personal information about you; request access, correction or deletion; object to certain processing; withdraw consent for future processing; and lodge a complaint with South Africa’s Information Regulator. Identity verification may be required before a request is completed, and some records may lawfully be retained.
11. Direct marketing
Marketing email is sent only where a lawful basis exists. Every promotional email should provide a practical unsubscribe method. You may also ask hello@laundivo.co.za to stop future marketing. Service messages about an enquiry or order are not marketing.
12. Children
The website is not directed at children and Laundivo does not knowingly seek personal information from a child without the authorisation required by law. A parent or competent person may contact Laundivo if they believe a child supplied information improperly.
13. Automated decisions
Laundivo does not currently make solely automated decisions through this website that produce legal or similarly significant effects. Fraud and security screening may flag activity for human review.
14. Complaints and updates
Send privacy requests or complaints to hello@laundivo.co.za. You may also complain to the Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za. Material policy changes will be published here with a revised date.
